Sunflower and Corn are growing!
These are the same two plants from the previous post. They are also the two that are doing the best! The sunflowers are generally doing much better than the corn. The stalk of corn you see is about 25 cm tall. The rest of the corn I planted are doing poorly. They seem to be a tasty treat for some small bugs which munch on their young green leaves.

Yes We Can! Or, meet the new boss...
Messages To Prez. Obama!
Am I being too pessimistic when I think we'll be singing this song before long?
Won't Get Fooled Again
We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgment of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they were all flown in the last war
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!
I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?
Yeah!
There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Is now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight
I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray

A Community of Scholars?
This is the residence, or, the community of scholars I lived among during my stay in Germany. A multinational assemblage of jurists, philosophers and kindred deep thinkers.
The lower level of this building is where the party room is located. The white doors beneath is also the location of the heating system, which caught fire one night shortly after my arrival. I summoned the fire brigade at 4AM. No flames, just lots of noxious smoke billowed from a ventilation shaft.
This is the kitchen where I prepared some of the food that fueled my neural cells and tissues.
No, this is not the washroom on the Airbus A380. This is where I did lots of deep thinking and/or profound brooding.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Elvis has visited my blog!
Last night I saw Elvis. Lots of them!
As part of her photo exhibition of Elvis imitators, my friend Henrieta had five different Elvis(es) who she photographed, perform at her opening night. This Elvis had the best outfit. One Elvis was just 12 years old. And they each represented Elvis at a different age and girth in his life.
